Corona - best reasonably priced beer you can get
Double Tequila Margaritas - I get an ear to ear grin after Margaritas. I don't know why, they just make me happy.
Sam Adams - smooth
Guiness - not just a beer, a meal in itself
Coors Light is possibly the worst beer I have ever had. Budweiser is pretty crappy too.

Amen to Coors Light. All cheap American beer is terrible.
If it's beer, I'll go for either Stella Artois or Rolling Rock.
If it's spirit and a mixer, it's gotta be gin'n'tonic (feeling supersonic).
If it's a whisky, Jamesons please.

Okay, I'll step out of the shadows for this one...and I'll make an admission worthy of an appearance on Jerry Springer: I don't like beer. There. I've said it. It's so liberating!
But I like peppermint schnapps, hot chocolate with cocoanut rum and assorted other girlie drinks. (Which, of course, reminds me of a favorite bit from Kids In The Hall..."Girl Drink Drunk"...)
However, I'd like someone to explain the appeal of martinis to me. I think I'd rather have a glass of monkey sweat. *shudder*

Average American beer sucks.
Here are some good beers for people who usually don't like beer:
Sam Adams
Pete's Wicked Ale
Corona (w/ lime's)
Tequiza
Martini's suck. Vodka martini's are good though (why it's still called a martini is debatable...).
I like Mike's Hard Lemonade too, girly drink or not.

Did you know that milk is worse for you than alcohol (reasonable amounts of alcohol of course). Fat, growth hormones, antibiotics, and assorted crap. BLEH! Never liked milk. I stopped drinking soda a few years ago and switched to Snapples. Stopped drinking snapples a few months ago and switched to water. I have a little alcohol maybe every other weekend or so. The alcohol content of Australian beer is significant. Granted they give you big glasses, but it's the only place where I've ever felt buzzed after two drinks on an empty stomach.
Australian beers in quality (highest to lowest):
Carlton Cold
Toohey's New
Toohey's Old
XXXX
Foster's
VB
That's all I can think of at the moment. VB is total piss. I can't believe anyone drinks it. Yet it's insanely popular in Oz. It can, however, be bought in the Australian parliament house in Canberra, which impressed me.
Foster's is only marginally better.

Lets get this discussion going hard again!
Hey Yoshi, it's actualy rather difficult to get Fosters in Australia, most places stopped selling it cos nobody drank it - I hate it (why do you think we exported it in the first place? no one in Australia goes near the crap).
The worst beer I've ever had is XXXX (4X) - its bad.... very bad. Apparently Rugby fans in Queensland drink it, but i don't think many others do.
My favourite beer is Heineken.
My favourite reasonably priced beer is Tooheys Extra Dry - very nice.
But I'm generally a spirits man - Vodka or B52's all the way.

That's what a friend of mine said after he got back from a vacation there. I'm not too fond of it myself... I usually stick to Molson Canadian, Alexander Keith's, and when I've got some extra money kicking around (read: almost never) I go for Sleeman's Cream Ale.

I like the taste of red bull and vodka...
As for those percentages, standard american beer is anywhere from 5-7%,(the 3% thing is in utah and given the olympics that's probably where the idea got started that all of us are limpwristed ass-water drinking fairies) S8n the "can 't call it beer" thing is decided from state to state, for example ohio just raised the percentage of what is considered beer to allow microbrewers who brew beers with 9% and higher alcohol percentages to avoid ridiculous taxation. The thing about beer is that yeast is what converts the sugar to alcohol, and alcohol is toxic to yeast, so if you try to make a beer too strong, the yeast dies and your batch of beer goes to shit. Brewers have found ways around this, but it takes a lot of work, and the results are expensive and frequently don't taste good (and who the fuck is going to argue with drinking MORE beer?) so the standard percentages for the most widely drank american beers are as stated, but there are beers available that are much more (in canada you can get molson XXX which is 8.5 percent I believe...)
