Not exactly senseless, and not exactly purchased - but I'm close to a deal on this for around 8k:

1977 F-250, 460 engine. If I'm lucky it'll get 8mpg. Thankfully it won't be a daily driver.

I figure both smokin' joe and Jakub will appreciate this. The former because he was probably conceived in the bed of something similar next to a case of bud and a couple .22's and the latter because his pop's Pinto would have been more than sufficient.

Oh and Dusty too because he's a fucking redneck.
