i work with a guy who is a cards fan and he was talking about the pitching staff, so i was looking into it when I saw this:
 Relief pitcher Jason Motte either got really, really high on picture day or...uhhh, I think that's the only explanation for the big dopey smile, and "this is good shit" squint in his photo.

That reminds me-- who was that pitcher who threw a no-hitter while high? Maybe Motte knows exactly what he's doing.
For the first time in what seems like a lot of seasons I have something to cheer about-- Jays are the first team to hit 20 wins. I wonder if I can somehow find a TV with baseball on in New Zealand.

haven't really heard his side of the story yet, other than the doctor excuse. either way, I'm over it. as bad as I want a championship in LA, I want it tainted by drugs even less. here's hoping the young'uns can keep the streak going.
